Built to handle New Zealand roads and weather

A standard trailer may look suitable until your equipment, water tanks and work process have to fit inside it. Hatch positions, door access, storage, power and loaded weight all affect how well the trailer works once it is in daily use.
Every Beaver-Built trailer begins with your measurements, sketch or wish list. We work through the layout with you, positioning equipment, tanks, doors, hatches and services before materials are ordered and cut.
The finished body sits on a pre-galvanised steel chassis with a galvanised drawbar and treated plywood floor, helping it withstand New Zealand roads and weather over the long term – unlike many imported options.
Trailers leave our workshop registered, warranted and ready to tow. To discuss your measurements and pricing, send us an enquiry.

Frameless insulated construction built to last

Beaver-Built trailers use interlocking poly panels to form the walls and roof rather than placing a thin outer skin over timber framing.
Each panel has steel skins on both sides of an insulated core, helping interiors stay cooler in summer and warmer in winter. The panels arrive finished inside and out, so no separate internal lining is required.
The frameless structure also makes caravan and trailer repairs more practical. If a panel is damaged, the affected section can often be removed and replaced without rebuilding an entire framed wall.
Treated plywood floors can be finished with vinyl coved up the walls for easier cleaning in food, medical, toilet and shower trailers.

Your layout determines the build

Every trailer is made to order and full customisable.
Before construction begins, we work through:
  • Single-axle, tandem or heavier multi-axle configurations
  • Rear and side doors, serving hatches, windows and ranch sliders
  • Equipment, shelving, water and waste tank positions
  • 12-volt solar, mains or generator connections
  • Gas bottle cages, lighting and power requirements
  • Colour, finish and wheel options
Weight distribution, towing capacity and the way people move through the trailer all influence the final layout. Qualified electricians and gas-fitters complete and certify their work, and doors and hatches are fitted with secure locking hardware.
The same insulated panel system is also used in our portable buildings.

Custom trailers for specialist applications

The same heavy-duty construction method can be adapted for a wide variety of uses, including:
  • Mobile kitchens, coffee kiosks, food trucks, and chiller/freezer trailers
  • Bathroom, toilet, shower, and laundry amenity units
  • Display trailers, pop-up shops, merchandise booths, and mobile showrooms
  • Mobile workshops, tool trailers and dog-grooming salons
  • Site offices, security huts, first aid rooms, and mobile lunchrooms
  • Motorsport haulers, race pit trailers, and adventure tourism vehicles
  • Mobile medical, dental, or personal service clinics (barbers, beauty, physio)
We can build an enclosed body onto a customer-supplied truck or flat deck, or convert an existing delivery vehicle with custom hatches, flooring, and interior layouts. Specialist appliances are typically supplied by the customer and fitted during the build.
Best of all, the same family team quotes, builds, and hands over every project - so the people you talk to on day one build your unit from start to finish.

Frequently asked questions for Custom Enclosed Trailers

Most builds take around six to seven weeks from confirmed order, with timing depending on the size and fit-out. Payment is staged through the build, and registration and the Warrant of Fitness are arranged before handover.

The insulated poly panel body reduces heat transfer through the walls and roof, so the refrigeration unit is not working against an uninsulated shell. Refrigeration equipment is selected for the required internal temperature and volume, while coved vinyl flooring makes the interior easier to clean.

A sketch, measurements or written wish list is enough to begin. Useful details include the intended use, loaded weight, equipment dimensions, door and hatch positions, storage needs and power, water or gas requirements. We then develop and price the layout with you.

Toilets, showers, basins, hot-water systems and lockable doors can be sourced and installed to the agreed floor plan. Easy-clean finishes are used where required, and qualified tradespeople certify electrical and gas work. Local consent and site requirements remain the customer's responsibility.

Yes. Delivery can be arranged throughout New Zealand at the customer's cost. Distance, towing requirements and ferry arrangements are discussed during planning so the most practical delivery option can be confirmed.
