Impact damage repaired without replacing the whole trailer

Impact damage is one of the most common reasons caravans and trailers come into the workshop. Serving hatches, doors, roof sections and side panels can often be repaired without replacing the entire unit.
Traditional steel-framed walls are prone to rust, thermal bridging, and difficult structural repairs. Our frameless poly panels (the same construction system is used in our portable buildings) provide superior insulation with zero rust risk. If a section ever gets damaged, individual panels can be swapped out quickly without rebuilding the whole wall. That said, with over 40 years of trade and fabrication experience, Beaver-Built has the know-how to repair, re-weld, and fix steel-framed trailers just as effectively.
We also carry out insurance repairs, providing clear quotes and discussing the required work with your assessor where needed. Food trailers, contractors' trailers, box trailers and units made by other manufacturers are all welcome.

Caravan leaks and rotten floors repaired

Water damage often develops gradually. Moisture enters through roof seams, windows, doors or wall joins, then spreads beneath the surface before the floor begins to soften.
We first identify and repair the source of the leak. Damaged flooring is then cut back to sound material and rebuilt using treated plywood so the same area is less vulnerable to future moisture.
Where an easy-clean finish is needed, vinyl can be coved up the wall to prevent water and dirt collecting around the floor edges.
Before quoting major restoration work, we assess the chassis and surrounding structure so you can make an informed decision about whether repair is worthwhile.

Failed WOF repairs and certified trade work

If your trailer fails its Warrant of Fitness inspection, we can carry out the repairs required before it returns for re-inspection.
Our trailer and caravan repair services include:
  • Trailer rust and panel repairs
  • Tyres, tail lights and running gear
  • Wiring faults completed through a qualified electrician
  • Plumbing and gas work completed through a registered gasfitter
  • Electrical and gas certificates are supplied where required.
With more than 40 years of panel-beating experience from Craig and around 15 years of trailer-building experience from Michael, the team can explain which faults are cosmetic, which affect roadworthiness and what is involved in putting them right.

Frequently asked questions for Caravan & Trailer Repairs

Yes. The source of the water entry is identified first, then the damaged flooring is cut back and replaced with treated plywood. Surrounding areas are checked before the new floor is installed.

Surface rust and structural rust are very different. The trailer needs to be inspected to determine whether the steel can be cleaned and treated or whether weakened sections should be cut out and replaced.

Yes. We inspect and quote the damage and can provide the information your insurer or assessor needs. Where practical, damaged panels, hatches or sections are repaired instead of replacing the whole unit.

Common checks include tyres, tail lights, wiring, plumbing and gas fittings, along with panels, hatches, doors, seals and signs of water ingress. The exact scope depends on the type and use of the unit.

That depends on the condition of the chassis, floor, walls and surrounding structure. If the main structure remains sound, repairs can often be completed in stages. We assess the unit before quoting so you can compare the likely repair cost with its value.
